The introduction of Minimum Invasive Surgery (MIS) as a global trend has reduced operative experience for new surgical trainees, as it requires a skilled surgeon using laparoscopes or robots. The emergence of virtual reality (VR) technology has led to the trend of using computer and/or VR simulation in surgical education. However, human cadavers remain the preferred method for surgical skill training. In my talk, I will present two new forms of fresh cadavers developed in my institute and discuss the current state of surgical training using fresh cadavers.
