The data obtained from traditional anatomical measurements are generally static data, so the method to measure the dynamic distances between the anatomy structures is difficult. In this study we combined MRI and motion capture analysis together, and established a novel method that could measure the dynamic distance between ischium and less trochanter of femur during gait cycle, and the validation results showed that this method could be a promising way for clinical application. The ischiofemoral space of both health people and ischiofemoral impingement syndrome patients were measured and analyzed during gait cycle.
