360-degree technology is capable of creating affordable, mobile and immersive experiences that simulate authentic scenarios and settings. Whilst research has demonstrated benefits of 360-degree videos in clinical and surgical learning settings, there is a lack of knowledge on the effectiveness of 360-degree technology in foundational anatomy. This presentation will showcase an innovative virtual anatomy lab using a 360-degree virtual mapping of the physical anatomy laboratory and 360-degree videos of prosections. Student feedback has demonstrated significant positive impact of the virtual lab as an extension of the physical laboratory during the semester and as a revision tool to prepare for examination.
